The CarCube gives us access to reliable information

The assignment

In the transport business, being able to access the right information quickly is of the utmost importance. Trafuco was looking for a solution to simplify its administration and make its planning more dynamic - and it found this in the form of the CarCube bundle.

The solution

The covered trucks and tankers have been equipped with the CarCube. In addition, the two inland navigation vessels have been fitted out with the on-board computer - a genuine first. Together with integration partner Ifacto, the Carcube and Fleetworks are being integrated into the back-office package QTMS.

The impact

"Nowadays, automation is essential. From the moment the order comes in right through to the time the invoice is sent to the customer we need a huge amount of information at our disposal to ensure that the order runs smoothly, from both an operational and administrative perspective," explains Serge Dewolf, Project Manager. "An on-board computer is an excellent means of generating this information. And this is the crunch point. After all, being able to access the right information quickly, at any time and in any location is of the utmost importance - and in this area the CarCube is second to none. Thanks to the well thought-out service architecture offered by Punch Telematix we can always be confident of having access to reliable information which feeds our back-office TMS system, allowing dynamic planning, journey time monitoring, salary payment and correct invoicing of our customers."

Our decision

"We drew up a list of all the major players on the market. The CarCube came out on top thanks to its reliability, flexibility, user-friendliness and open architecture. The bundle and leasing concept incorporating GPRS is also an asset," confirms Mark Van den Broeck, Manager.
