Miratrans integrates the CarCube telematics system in its interLAN logistics application

- Automated order transmission and expense accounting
- Simultaneous integration at all five sites
- Reduction in telephone costs
The main challenge facing Miratrans was the simultaneous integration of CarCube at all of the company’s five sites. “A key factor in our decision was the open architecture of the telematics system. We were able to easily integrate the Punch Telematix CarCube application in our existing systems without interrupting operations, and to rapidly roll it out to all branches,” explains Ireneusz Frankowski, Manager of Miratrans. CarCube has brought rapid results in terms of savings: for example, the introduction of text messages to simplify communication between scheduling and drivers has significantly reduced telephone costs.
CarCube is an onboard computer that brings together telemetry, navigation and telephony in a single device. In addition to the basic module, Miratrans uses the Punch Telematix digital driving style assistant. This application measures key parameters during journeys, such as fuel consumption, engine speed, braking and acceleration. Status bars in the onboard computer display and voice messages then tell the driver how he can reduce fuel consumption.
Punch Telematix has been marketing CarCube since 2009 via its own branch in Poland. “Before Miratrans' decision, we had already concluded a partnership with interLAN to jointly develop an interface between our systems. This represents an important step for us in the expansion of our market position in Poland,” says Gregorz Ogrodowski, Sales Manager at Punch Telematix Poland.
